I qualified as a Diagnostic Radiographer in June 1986 and began a career in Ultrasound in 1988. I left the NHS in June 2008 after 26 years service after buying Babybrite; a successful 4D-ultrasound baby scanning company that I help set up in June 2006. I have always been passionate about obstetric ultrasound and think there is no greater job showing prospective parents their unborn child. I work 4 days a work within my practice.

My other passion is complementary therapies with a special interest in pregnancy related issues. I qualified both as an Aromatherapist and Reflexologist in 2002. I also possess a certificate in Indian Head Massage and am a Reiki Master. I started making specific bespoke aromatherapy blends for work colleagues and family members. This led to complete strangers contacting me through word of mouth to make aromatherapy blends for them. I devised a consultation form for them to complete, similar to the one on this website. On completion, I would come up with a specific blend to address their problems that seemed to benefit their ailments. My aim is for the bespoke service is simply to extend that service by using the Internet, allowing clients to complete an online consultation form. They will then receive comprehensive advice on the best aromatherapy oils to use and how to use them.

I still enjoy studying and have just completed a Certificate in Palliative Care at our local hospice, which my eldest daughter attends, learning to treat patients with life limiting / terminal illnesses. I also recently completed a Certificate in Glycerine Soap Making and now make a range of our own toiletries all certified by a Cosmetic Chemist.
